It’s both. Something about it prevents sprouted seeds from thriving, for several weeks at least after application. Meanwhile it is about 10% nitrogen, so it is both an organic fertilizer and an organic herbicide.

So, is corn gluten a weed-killer or a fertilizer? Or both?

Thanks, Jim. This is taking some time. As the dimensions of the tea bags are not quite set, the dimensions of the box are not quite set, so this will change still. I like having time to think about things like this anyway.

I know you were working on the new design for the boxes while we were there but I didn’t see the final draft at that time. I like it a lot — more interesting than the old box, I think. Keep up the good work!
